The Byram Park Pool is open!

The skies cleared just in time this morning for one of the JLG’s most exciting moments!  JLG members, town officials, donors, community partners and friends gathered at the entry to the Byram Park Pool for the ribbon cutting ceremony.  After remarks from First Selectman Peter Tesei and JLG President Elizabeth Peyton, Campaign Co-Chairs Carisa Sykes and Debby Lash cut the ceremonial ribbon, and with that, the Pool was open for business!  Everyone in attendance was able to explore the new complex, and a few brave souls jumped right in, earning the distinction of being the first to use the new pool!

Congratulations to everyone involved – this was a project eight years in the making, and will be one of the JLG’s most significant legacies in our town.  It took the continuous work of countless  members to bring this to fruition, and it is certainly a day for us all to be proud to be members of the JLG.

The weather looks great for this weekend, so stop by the pool and soak up some sun!

And if you missed the ceremony – check out the video posted to the JLG Facebook page.
