Junior League of Greenwich Presents $5,000 Community Grant to River House Adult Day Center

The Junior League of Greenwich® (JLG) is pleased to announce the recipient of its annual Community Grant Award.

River House Adult Day Center (River House), has been selected to receive the Junior League of Greenwich Community Grant Award. This $5,000 reward provides financial support for a community need not currently being met by Junior League projects or programs. River House is an organization whose mission is to provide adult day care that works for all families. Adults who wish to maintain residence in the comfort of their homes but require daytime assistance come to River House to participate in vibrant activities, socialize with their peers, and receive compassionate hands-on health and nursing care.

In order to respond to the shutdown and subsequent social distancing requirements of in-person gatherings necessitated by the Covid-19 pandemic, River House quickly pivoted and created new distance care and respite care programming that enabled them to continue to serve their vulnerable clients in an unprecedented environment. Our grant will help fund an expansion of the duties of the River House health team who oversee these new and vital programs.
