JLG Hosted Over 200 Trick-or-Treaters on Halloween Night

The Junior League of Greenwich (JLG) hosted more than 200 trick-or-treaters on Halloween night at the JLG Headquarters on East Putnam Avenue.  With the Junior League Headquarters located in the heart of a popular neighborhood for trick-or-treaters, the JLG invited local parents, kids, and pets to stop by for refreshments and candy.  Many families used the house as a meeting point to begin their Trick-or-Treating down Park Place; a street known by locals for its many haunted houses on Halloween night. The Junior League of Greenwich looks forward to continuing this now annual tradition serving the Greenwich community. Click above to read more!

First Boys Achieving More session a roaring success!

posted on

Our first Boys Achieving More (BAM!) session, held on Saturday, was a roaring success!  Registration was filled within 48 hours, and on Saturday September 15, 32 boys from 11 schools participated in a fun-filled day at Seton Scout Reservation.  The boys practiced teamwork, survival skills and expanding their personal comfort zone while learning about respect, trust and tolerance.  Our partnership with the Greenwich Council of Boy Scouts of America, Boys & Girls Club of Greenwich, the YMCA of Greenwich and REACH Prep made this day so successful.  We are looking forward to the next session in the spring – stay tuned for the details!

The skies cleared just in time this morning for one of the JLG’s most exciting moments!  JLG members, town officials, donors, community partners and friends gathered at the entry to the Byram Park Pool for the ribbon cutting ceremony.  After remarks from First Selectman Peter Tesei and JLG President Elizabeth Peyton, Campaign Co-Chairs Carisa Sykes and Debby Lash cut the ceremonial ribbon, and with that, the Pool was open for business!
