Academic and Cultural Enrichment
The Academic and Cultural Enrichment Committee continues a fantastic kickoff to the "CMS Prep" program with its cooking series following a World Cultures Curriculum, which has students globe trotting around the GHS Cafe kitchen.
Cooking Series Part 2 of 3 focused on Latin cuisine. Students worked in groups to prepare “Tortilla Arcos de la Frontera” under the tutelage of cooking instructors and JLG ACE leaders.
The cooking series Part 3 "finale" featured Native American cuisine in honor of Thanksgiving.
More than 15 students participated in each cooking series as part of our Academic and Cultural Enrichment Program and partnership with Central Middle School.
In December, participants will partake in ongoing tutoring and homework help.
Additionally, the ACE committee is scheduling a host of engaging enrichment events including a museum field trip, motivational speaker and more!
